If you haven't had a chance to jump on the "overnight oats" train, please purchase a one way ticket ASAP! There are so many things to LOVE about the OIAJ (oats in a jar) concept. They are easy to make, the flavor combinations are endless, and they are great for busy person 'on the go' eating.
Overnight oats are a healthy,
nutrient dense, and delicious meal that can be whipped up in a matter of minutes and will help fuel you properly to get your day off to a strong start!

What I like to do in our house is prep a few different jars at the beginning of each week. I typically do one that is plain, one fruity, one that has some chocolate in it, and sometimes a more savory and "warm" option like pumpkin spice. When you change the flavors and toppings of your oatmeal, it's pretty hard to get bored eating them. ALWAYS a new flavor to look forward to!
Also, when someone in the house is hungry, but too lazy to make something from scratch, they can simply grab a pre made jar of oats. Running out the front door and won't have time to grab a meal? No problem! OIAJ to the rescue!
The process of making them is so easy, it's not even funny. You grab a jar, throw in your oats, and add milk/liquid & any flavoring/extracts you like. Then you bring it to life with your toppings and stir ins! Fruit, nut butter, nuts, granola, chocolate chips, and/or dried fruit. Want the most bang for your buck with volume? Add in some finely shredded zucchini or riced cauliflower! Need a better protein ratio for
your macros? Easy! Add in some
Pretty Fit All natural whey protein powder or even liquid egg whites. More nutrients? Add chia or flax seeds!

Even though I'm a die hard chocolate fan, oatmeal with lots of fruit will always have my heart! For these oats, I went for a classic 'strawberry kiwi' combination. Simple and delicious!
Typically oatmeal doesn't have quite enough protein in it to provide me with a truly balanced "meal", so I opted to add both egg whites as well as
protein powder.
If you don't want to add the flavored egg whites to your oats, but want to pack a punch of flavor to the actual oats, blend a handful of strawberries with the milk/liquid you use!
Then, to make it pretty, I just sliced my kiwi fruit very thin, stuck it to the sides of the glass, made my oats in a bowl, then added them to the jar… not necessary, but definitely makes your food amazing to look at!
